Do you have a permanently scheduled wedding season?

No, the Roxbury Barn has a limited number of events each year, from early June till early October. We only host one event per week.

 

If I have a wedding planner, how involved will your representative be at my wedding?

We’ll gladly work together with your wedding planner. The Roxbury Barn is committed to ensuring that the setup of your wedding and event itself run smoothly and so our representative will be supervising during the previous day of setup and during the event itself.

If I don’t have a wedding planner, is there an additional fee to utilize one through the Roxbury Barn?

Included in the rental fee are an initial meeting with our representative and tour at the property, extensive vendor recommendations, a second meeting one month prior to the event with a walk through of the property, all the advise you might need, and representation at the day of setup and day of event. However, if you wish, we can recommend excellent local wedding planners to accommodate all your needs.

Do you have a property map?

Yes, it can be found right here on our site. We’ve also created floor plans of the top two floors of the barn, which might be helpful in planning your seating arrangements. Both maps are PDF documents which can easily be downloaded to your computer, or printed out straight from your browser.

 

What is the payment policy?

Clients are required to make a security deposit when reserving the date. The full rental fee is due six months before the event date. Find all the details on our policy page.

What are the minimum & maximum number of guests allowed?

We welcome any smaller party. Indoors at the barn the maximum amount of persons that can be seated for dinner is 200. For outdoor-tented weddings it varies.

Do you have a list of recommended vendors?

Yes, an extensive list of preferred vendors comes as part of our standard service with every wedding. Our list focuses on all local quality specialists, caterers, accommodation options, etc.

Our Green List and any other recommendations we make are solely based on quality and experience, never on any commission or kickback – period.

Is a bonfire always an option?

Because of safety regulations, bonfires require permission from the fire department. Bonfires also require a professional setup, and professional monitoring during the actual fire, which is not included in the rental agreement, and may not be allowed depending on seasonal dryness, in which case a smaller fire in our metal fire pit could be an option. We’ll gladly assist you in the organizing of a possible bonfire.

 

Does the barn come with tables and chairs?

Yes. Starting 2013, vintage wooden chairs and cushioned wooden chairs and rectangular tables are available to seat all guests for dinner. A maximum of 200 wooden folding chairs and 24 folding table are available. We can also help you in finding the right rental company for your other needs.

What is the parking situation at the property?

Guests may park their cars on Scott Green Road, adjacent to the property, where they can enter the property crossing an Adirondack walking bridge. Alternatively, as The Roxbury Barn is located rather remotely, we recommend arranging transportation of your guests from and to their accommodation through a bus or shuttle service. We’ll of course give you recommendations for services in the area.

 

Where can we do the ceremony if it rains?

If it were to rain you could have your ceremony in the barn and an other recommended option is to rent a back-up tent, which can be set up in one of the large fields.
