From New York City:
Approximate time: 2 hrs 35 minutes
- Make your way to the New York State Thruway – 87North.
- Get off at exit 19 – Kingston. Once through the toll take the first right in the traffic circle for Route 28 West towards Pine Hill. You’re on Rt.28 for a little over 40 miles.
- You will arrive in Arkville, slowing down to 35 mph and going past a convenience store/gas on your right and historic train station on your left.
- Just beyond that there will be a sign for Roxbury – make the right on this road – County Hwy 38. (If you cross the railroad tracks you went 40 feet too far.) Take it for 1 mile and it will end at Rt. 30.
- Make the right onto Route 30. Drive about ten miles, to the village of Roxbury.
The last bit: to the barn
- As you slow down and enter the village you will make your first left onto County Hwy 41 or what locals call Bridge Street.
- This goes past the post office and curves around to the left. Drive about a mile or so, passing Briggs Road on your left, and a lumberyard on your right, then Scott Green Road on your right.
- When arriving for the event at the barn, make a right on Scott Green Road, parking your car on the left side of the road after about 200 yards. You’ll see a path and a wooden walking bridge on the left side of the road, leading to the grounds and the barn.
- When visiting the Captain’s House, please pass Scott Green Road. The Captain’s House is the second house on the right after Scott Green Road: it has white gates, and brick pillars and says 667 on the mailbox. (Please use the back kitchen door.)
From the Northeast:
Approximate time from Albany: 1 hrs 25 minutes
- Get to Albany on the NYS Thruway (I-87 South).
- Then hook up to I-90 West towards Buffalo.
- Exit to I-88 West to Binghampton.
- Take I-88 West to exit 22.
- Follow signs for Route 30 – the road makes a short zigzag on Route 145, which takes you under the highway and onto Rt. 30. This will take you all the way in to Roxbury.
- You will drive through the village and as you are about to exit, there will be County Hwy 41 (or what locals call Bridge Street) on your right.[/li]
